Outline : Speech To Persuade


Specific Purpose  : To persuade my audience about the three reasons that you should kayak.
  
Central Idea       : You should make kayaking as a healthy lifestyle because its’ three benefits can help you lose your weight, good for your health and it offers great opportunities for socialization.

Main Points:         I.       The first reason that you should kayak because it can help you lose your weight.
II.      The second reason that you should kayak because it is good for your health.
III.     The third reason that you should kayak because it offers great opportunities for socialization.

OUTLINE TO PERSUADE

INTRODUCTION

          I.                   A kayak is an enclosed boat that is propelled by using a double-sided paddle.
A.   You sit inside the kayak with your legs straight in front of you and use your upper body to move the kayak through the water.

          II.                Kayaking can be peaceful depending on where and how you do it.
          III.             You should make kayaking as a healthy lifestyle because its’ three benefits.
A.   It can help you lose your weight, good for your health and it offers great opportunities for socialization.

TRANSITION: Let’s move to the first reason that why you should kayak.

BODY
         I.                   The first reason that you should kayak because of it can help you lose your weight.
A.   Which is going to use up about 400 calories per hour? 
1.     Kayaking can burn up to 400 calories per hour or more depending on how fast you paddle.
B.   It is a continual process of burning calories that help you to lose your weight.
1.     Hey, you are going to look good!

TRANSITION: Now that all of you know something about my first reason, let’s look about my second reason.

          II.                The second reason that you should kayak because of it is good for your health.
A.   Kayaking for exercise can benefit your cardiovascular health.
1.     The continuous movement of paddling can help our cardiovascular as swimming or jogging.
2.     It was proved by a study at Manchester Metropolitan University. The study proved that kayaking can increase more than 50 per cent the ability of the heart to pump the blood around the body.
B.   Kayaking may help in the reduction of stress levels by giving you an opportunity to get outdoors, experience nature and breathe fresh air.
1.     Spending a few hours under the sky, on the water, watching the colours of the blues and the greens is enjoyable that relief our stress and improve our mental state.

TRANSITION: Let’s look and see to my third reason.

         III.             The third reason that you should kayak because it offers great opportunities for socialization in a relaxed atmosphere.
A.   Kayaking can be a great activity with our family and friends.
B.   Especially if you are in a tandem kayak together it allows everyone to work together for a common goal and enjoy all of the benefits of kayaking together.

INTERNAL SUMMARISE: I have discussed with all of you about three reasons that you should kayak.

CONCLUSION
I.                   Last but not least, it's not only an amazing exercise, but you really are directly in touch with nature.
A.   Kayaking gives you both an incredible peace of mind and sense of balance and ability.
          II.                You should make kayaking as a healthy lifestyle because it can help you lose your weight, good for your health and it offers great opportunities for socialization.
